This is an example of a complete Toul Meditech department, consisting of two treatment rooms each equipped with one SurgiCube®, and an additional treatment room equipped with Operio®. A setup like this ensures high patient throughput, with the flexibility to work with multiple teams operating at the same time, or one team moving between treatment rooms. In some cases, an open space is equipped with multiple operating units, a concept often referred to as a barn concept, though individual treatment rooms are still more commonly chosen.
The layout of this treatment facility is a common configuration used in many different environments: a single treatment room with a supporting workflow built around it, designed to maximize what can be done within limited space.
