Professor Gerd Auffarth is an eye surgeon and chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Heidelberg University Eye Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany – one of the oldest and best known eye hospitals in the country. He is also the director of the David J. Apple Centre for Vision Research and the world's first surgeon to implant a toric, an aspheric, and a multifocal intraocular lens. When the demand for intravitreal injections in the eye hospital rose above all previous levels, Professor Gerd Auffarth created a new dedicated centre equipped with a SurgiCube® to perform these essential treatments.
By installing a SurgiCube® in the intravitreal injection centre, we have saved a lot of money while simultaneously meeting all the hygiene regulations required for this task

Dr Lukas Månsson is Head of Orthopedic Surgery and Emergency Medicine at Vestre Viken Hospital in Drammen, Norway. He is also an orthopaedic surgeon, primarily in hip, shoulder and trauma surgery. As part of a major renovation of existing operating rooms in 2014, the orthopaedic team explored innovative airflow systems.
The Toul Meditech Operio® has become part of the hospital's infection control system. In a short time, this technology was easily integrated into the surgical processes of the orthopaedic department.
By using Toul Meditech technology, we have reduced the risk of many infections.

The SurgiCube® is a very good way to improve the surgical environment without compromising surgical safety.
Dr. Christophe Panthier
Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild

Dr Christophe Panthier is an eye surgeon at the A. de Rothschild Ophthalmological Foundation in Paris, France. In addition to being a key member of the surgical team for this department, he also leads a working group dedicated to improving the practice of cataract surgery. Patients used to spend an unnecessary amount of time in hospital after cataract surgery, mostly due to anaesthetics. Patients were unnecessarily stressed by being in a surgical setting. The SurgiCube® proved to be a very good way to improve the surgical environment without compromising surgical safety.

Mr Simon Madge is Senior Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Director of Hereford Vision Surgical Group and Senior Consultant in Ophthalmic Surgery at an NHS practice at Wye Valley NHS Trust, also in Hereford, United Kingdom. When the COVID-19 pandemic started to affect the United Kingdom, many healthcare facilities were unable to continue their normal activities. The Toul Meditech Operio® provided the opportunity to continue and created a safe environment for cataract surgery.
The Toul Meditech Operio® has really gotten us back on our feet and restored sight for hundreds of people. Otherwise, we would have been paralysed as an ophthalmic service.

The SurgiCube® partitions us from the patient and completely filters out all viruses within minutes. I now have more confidence in the SurgiCube® than in a conventional operating room.
James Ball
Custom Vision Clinic

Eye Surgeon James Ball holds a number of posts and is involved in the training and research of refractive surgeons. His main interests now are refractive surgery and his chairmanship at the British Society for Refractive Surgery. With some frustration with the environment in which he worked, he decided to start his own practice and established Custom Vision Clinic in a 19th-century estate in the United Kingdom. The new facilities with the SurgiCube® proof that top-quality surgical environments with the right technology can be achieved even in historic listed buildings.
